Homemade Pasta Sauce

If you’re looking for Italian recipes, I’m your girl. I think my brain is wired that way honestly! I do admittedly lean more towards the Northern fare with it’s heavy sauced pastas, meats and cheeses instead of the Mediterranean side of food (but I am getting more into that as I cook more fish).

So since we’re talking squash bake in this week’s recipe, I would be remiss to share my simple pasta sauce recipe and as I’m hoping you’re gathering by now, I do LOVE a simple recipe. And did I mention each serving is ZERO WW SmartPoints? Yeah… Go ahead and enjoy this one on repeat!

Homemade Pasta Sauce

For your ingredients:

  • 32oz Can Tomato Sauce
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 3/4 Cup Tomato Paste
  • 4 TBSP Minced Garlic (or Roughly 6-8 Cloves)
  • 2 TBSP Italian Seasoning
  • 1 TSP Salt

Total Cook Time: 60 Minutes

  1. Add tomato paste and water to sauce pan. Stir until the paste has a thinner consistency.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 60 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add additional seasoning to taste periodically.

Yields 4 servings per batch. Estimated Weight Watchers Points: 0sp per serving

What can I say? I love a simple homemade pasta sauce!

Cheers!
